Setting up OC4J Authentication

Oracle Components for Java (OC4J) is a top notch J2EE container based on the Orion J2EE Server.

OC4J provides a number of mechanisms for user authentication; the older less secure method which uses the principals.xml file and a newer method based on the Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS) standard.

Oracle’s implementation of JAAS is known as JAZN (Java AuthoriZatioN).

Team Fortress 2 on a Mac – ‘Coz I can

Parallels just release version 4.0 of their Mac Desktop and they claim that with the new 3D (DirectX and OpenGL) support we can now play games on their Hypervisor.

Thought I’d give it a try and the results are mixed, to get any kind of play without jerkyness I had to reduce the resolution down to at least 800×600 (results were best at 640×480) and dumb the details way down.
